COLLABORATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN OMC-MED ENERGY CONFERENCE AND ELETTRICITÀ FUTURA TO SUPPORT COMPANIES ENGAGED IN THE ENERGY TRANSITION

Elettricità Futura (the main association of the Italian electricity sector and a member of Confindustria) and OMC-Med Energy Conference (an event that has focused on energy issues in the Mediterranean for the last 28 years) have established a collaboration with the aim of supporting companies in the industry as they transition towards a low-carbon future, through the optimisation and sharing of expertise to achieve decarbonisation objectives.
With this agreement – which follows those entered into with Fondazione Enrico Mattei and ANEV – OMC-Med Energy has established another important synergistic collaboration and consolidated its role as a catalyst for partnerships between different energy sectors. This objective is expressed clearly in the title of this year's edition of the Conference to be held in Ravenna from 28 to 30 September: “Rethinking Energy Together: Alliances for a Sustainable Energy Future”.
OMC-Med Energy Conference and Elettricità Futura will work together to spread awareness about the energy transition and encourage an exchange of skills and experiences, as well as to promote cross-sector collaborations between energy sectors.

“The electricity industry is undergoing rapid evolution and is a major ally in the fight against climate change,” comments Monica Spada, President of OMC-Med Energy Conference.  “This is why we have launched a collaboration which, once again, will lead to a blending of points of view and perspectives and from which we expect to maximise opportunities for joint development in order to define and test the pathways that will allow us to achieve our long-term targets”.
“The ecological transition is an opportunity not to be missed to affirm our country's technological and industrial capabilities”, states Andrea Zaghi, Director General of Elettricità Futura. “In order to achieve this, it is essential to work inclusively, bringing together the needs of companies and strengthening dialogue with institutions and through partnerships such as the one established with OMC-Med Energy Conference. Our hope is to be able to contribute to making our country a leading force in green development for Europe and the Mediterranean”.
