OMC has always given importance to youth participation, offering the opportunity to meet the oil&gas industry and granting students free access to all conferences, workshops and exhibitions area.
For the 2015 edition, OMC organisers confirm their commitment by welcoming students during the 3 day event and organising a dedicated Youth Programme on Thursday 26th March 2015 - Student Arena, Hall 2.
5 MINUTE SPEECH CONTEST
This new initiative of OMC 2015 gives the chance to post-graduate and PhD students from technical universities (Italian and foreign) to illustrate their research activities.
64 students sent their abstract on the subject: "TECHNOLOGIES TO MEET THE FUTURE ENERGY NEEDS".
The topic includes technologies for oil and gas activities, technologies that could be fruitfully adopted for oil and gas activities, technologies for renewables, technologies for energy storage and transportation.
A technical jury selected 21 abstracts that will be presented on Thursday 26th March from 14.00 to 16.00.
The authors of the selected abstracts will have 5 minutes (no more than 2 slides) to present their research to an audience of peers and company representatives.
During the award ceremony at 17.30 the 3 best presentations will receive OMC award as well as a free full delegate registration for OMC 2017.
Moreover, SPE Italian Session offers to the three winners the publication of their works on the SPE Bulletin; the free participation in the Social Dinner (June 2015) and in one Young Professionals (national or international) event.
Benefits for the 21 selected participants:
Free registration at OMC 2015 conference including social events, coffee breaks and luncheons for 3 days.
Publication of all presentations on OMC website and social networks.
Publication of their CVs to be distributed to OMC partner companies.
