Young and career opportunities in the energy sector
FINO AL 31 GENNAIO E' POSSIBILE PARTECIPARE ALLO "SPE STUDENT PAPER CONTEST"
Ravenna, 28 gennaio 2019 - Ai giovani e al contributo che possono dare alla conoscenza e allo sviluppo del settore energetico, OMC2019 (Ravenna, 27-29 marzo 2019) dedica quest’anno una sessione dei lavori che durerà l’intera giornata del 28 marzo.
In collaborazione con Spe (Society of Petroleum Engineers) viene infatti proposto il Paper Contest e l’Energy Prospect Workshop intitolato ‘The future of the energy industry: what prospects for tomorrow’s professionals?’. In programma il contributo di Daslav Brkic (New energy prospects and ‘transitions’ and their impact on the engineering and construction industry ) e Francesca Marchegiano ( Narrative mindset to build the future of engineering and construction companies).
Il termine ultimo per inviare all’organizzazione i papers scade il 31 gennaio prossimo. Per partecipare allo “SPE OMC2019 Student paper contest” su tematiche riferite all’oil&gas occorre essere studenti iscritti a corsi master o dottorandi. Il contributo riguardante l’attività di ricerca dovrà essere al massimo di 300 parole e in inglese. Un’apposita commissione valuterà gli elaborati e selezionerà i quattro migliori in ognuna delle due categorie.
Verranno assegnati tre premi:
- migliore presentazione per contenuto tecnico nella categoria MSc;
- migliore presentazione per contenuto tecnico nella categoria PhD;
- miglior presentazione per qualità generale ed espositiva.
I lavori del 28 marzo si apriranno alle 10.30 con la presentazione delle opportunità lavorative per i giovani proposte da Edison, Eni, Rosetti Marino, Schlumberger e Shell.
Dalle 14 alle 16 il contest giovani. A seguire l’Energy Prospect Workshop e alle 17.30 la consegna degli Award.

On Thursday 28th March OMC 2019 will host the Youth Programme dedicated to young human resources and their contribution to the energy sector.
For the second time SPE Italy (Society of Petroleum Engineers) will stage a Student Paper Contest for MSc and PhD as well as the Energy Prospect Workshop titled The future of the energy industry: what prospects for tomorrow’s professionals?"
The workshop programme includes a lecture on New energy prospects and ‘transitions’ and their impact on the engineering and construction industry, by Daslav Brkic and Narrative mindset to build the future of engineering and construction companies by Francesca Marchegiano.
MSc and PhD students can submit an abstract of 300 words on their research activities till January 31st. A Technical Committee will select 2 abstracts for each category, and will present an award for the best paper in each category and one for the best presentation in terms of overall quality.
The Youth Programme will start at 10.30 with presentations on career opportunities in the energy sector held by Edison, Eni, Rosetti Marino, Schlumberger and Shell.
